The entire experience lasts approximately 8 hours, including travel, dives, and beach time. Each dive lasts between 40 to 45 minutes.

What days are the Discover Scuba Diving excursions available?

Excursions to Catalina Island are available on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.

What should I bring for the diving excursion?

We recommend bringing swimwear, a towel, sunscreen, sunglasses, a hat, and a change of dry clothes. You might also want to bring an underwater camera to capture the stunning underwater scenery.

Are there any health restrictions for scuba diving?

Yes, participants should not have respiratory, cardiac, or blood pressure conditions. Pregnant women are also not allowed to dive. A medical questionnaire will be completed before diving to ensure you are fit to participate.

Can I snorkel instead of diving?

Yes, guests who prefer not to dive can snorkel instead. You’ll have the chance to swim among the coral reefs and enjoy the vibrant marine life.

Hotel Pickup

We’ll pick you up from your hotel and begin our journey to La Romana, passing through sugar cane fields while your guide shares interesting facts about the area and the country.

Catamaran Ride to Catalina Island

Once we arrive in La Romana, we’ll board our catamaran and head towards Catalina Island.

3 :

First Stop – “The Wall”

Our first diving location is the famous “The Wall,” a majestic coral wall that extends from the island into the Caribbean Sea. This is where your diving experience begins.

4 :

Second Stop – “Aquarium”

Our next stop is the incredible diving spot known as “Aquarium.” Each dive lasts about 40 to 45 minutes.

5 :

Beach Time at Catalina Island

After diving, we’ll continue to the beautiful beach on Catalina Island. You’ll have approximately three hours to relax on the island’s pristine white sand beaches, enjoy a Dominican buffet lunch, and sip drinks from the beach bar.

6 :

Return to Punta Cana

Around 3:00 PM, we’ll board the catamaran to head back to Punta Cana, concluding an incredible day of diving, snorkeling, and relaxation at Catalina Island.
