They are used to make different preparations , preferably consumed in mashed form, but they can also be prepared fried or boiled.

Mofongo is another option in which the guineos are cut, battered and fried, to accompany mashed, plantain with pork chicharrón.

The mangú, which is another way to enjoy mashed plantains, differs from mofongo in that this fruit is served green, without having ripened yet.

EL SANCOCHO

Sancocho is a nutritious and delicious dish of Spanish origin. It is one of the most typical and popular dishes in the gastronomy of Punta Cana and other Latin American countries.

It is prepared using 7 varieties of meat and a combination of potato, yucca, cilantro, plantain and other ingredients.

EL LOCRIO

ASOPAO

YAROA

Yaroa is an exquisite dish prepared by baking ground beef, ripe plantain and cheese.
