Sosua Cabarete is a paradise in the Dominican Republic well known for its tourism and beaches.

Some of the most representative delicacies of Cabarete:
- Sancocho: Sancocho is a thick broth made from meats, vegetables, tubers and spices. It can be prepared in different ways and is always accompanied by white rice and avocado slices.
- Bandera Dominicana: It is considered the national dish of the Dominican Republic and is named after the country’s flag due to its characteristic colors. It is made with white rice, red beans and stewed meat, either chicken or beef, complemented with avocado, tostones (crushed fried green plantains) and salad.
- Mangú: A very simple and delicious dish that is eaten for breakfast. It consists of a green plantain puree which is served with a fried red onion with oil and vinegar on top. It is often topped with fried white cheese, salami and eggs, hence the name “los tres Golpes” (the three blows).
- Dominican rice: Essential ingredient in the Dominican table in many Dominican recipes that can be presented in different combinations: from the most basic white rice to perfect combinations with chicken, beans, noodles, vegetables, seafood, etc.
- Mofongo: a dish that is never missing in Dominican restaurants, either as an accompaniment or as a main dish. It consists of fried green plantains mashed in a mortar with garlic and pork rinds until a dough is formed into balls.

- Yaniqueques: fried flour fritters or cracklings, a perfect snack at any time of the day, which can be salted or filled with cheese, egg, ham, vegetables or chicken.
- Habichuelas con dulce: Typical Lenten and Easter dessert prepared with red beans served mixed with evaporated milk, condensed milk, coconut milk, spices, butter and sweet potato.
