- Dominicus Beach

Dominicus Beach
Domincus Beach in La Romana is one of the public beaches in Bayahíde, although much of its extension is owned exclusively by hotels.
It was the first Caribbean beach to receive the blue flag certification and is preferred by the vast majority of divers, since there are no ocean currents in the area, it is the perfect beach to enjoy a wonderful marine life, coral formation and have a spectacular friendly contact with dolphins, cat sharks and manatees.
On this beach you can find restaurants where you can enjoy a nice evening and food, and stores where you can buy vacation souvenirs of your visit to the Caribbean island.
In addition, being located in the middle of the national park of the East and very close to the ecological and archaeological trail Padre Nuestro, it is a great opportunity to do some ecological tourism.

Where to stay in Bayahibe
Whether you travel with children, as a couple or with friends, in Bayahibe you will be able to book the hotel where to stay according to your own personal tastes and available economy, since it is possible to sleep very cheaply and with great comfort.
We can say that in Bayahibe there are 3 types of accommodations:
- All Inclusive or All Inclusive Hotels
- Hotels and inns with or without breakfast
- Apartments for rent
Among the best five-star All Inclusive Hotels that are sure to meet all expectations, with very good facilities, food and beautiful beaches we find:
- Iberostar Hacienda Dominicus
- Dreams Dominicus La Romana
- Catalonia Royal (adults only)
The main problem with these hotels is that being so cheap, it is quite difficult to find availability if you do not book well in advance, so it is advisable not to book at the last minute.
Another very cheap option that is not an All Inclusive, is to lodge in Bayahibe town or in zone that is not in first line of sea (blocks of the beach).
Among some options with very good references we find:
- El Pulpo Hotel
- Bayahide GH
- Villa Iguana
Tourists staying in this area should know that the nearest beach is about 6 kilometers away.
Near the beach there are also inexpensive lodging options (apartments and rooms) to consider:
- Los Flamencos
- Akliminia
- Beach Aprtment Cadaques
To avoid bad experiences it is important to read very well what is included and what is not, as well as the opinions of other previous guests.
Not only the economy determines the type of accommodation to rent but also whether you are traveling with or without children, with your family, friends or as a couple.
Depending on the type of trip, we recommend:
- Hotel for traveling with children and family: Catalonia or Iberostar.
- Hotel for couples and friends: Catalonia for adults only.
